I
live in Ottawa, the capital of Canada.
Surrounded by some of the most beautiful scenery to be found anywhere in the world,
one can't help but be inspired to create. During
my many years of travel world-wide, I have spent endless hours in the study of
nature in all its facets.
In
my art, I believe I've succeeded in capturing the natural beauty
of Canada through original arrangements with real pressed flowers,
grasses, weeds and leaves.
In addition to my interst in the Art of pressed flowers,
I have studied music in the U.K and South Africa and attended a conductor's Master
course in conducting with Herbert Von Karajan, in Luzen, Switzerland. During
my early years I was fortunate to get instruction in the art of oil painting from
my late brother who in his day was one of South-Africa's finest of landscape fine
artists . He won the coveted young artists prize- the honour of having his wining
painting hanging in "Groote Schuur" in Cape Town. My
Father, son of a German Geoligist and mother, a piano teacher from Prussia, was
an accomplished conductor, organist, choirmaster and teacher. If
